LONDON – September 12, 2017 – Situs, the premier global provider of strategic business solutions for the finance and commercial real estate industries, announced today the departure of Christian Bearman, who will seek opportunities outside the firm. Bearman joined Situs seven months ago as CEO of its European business.
Situs continues to build on the long-term strategy that has enabled the firm to become a leading service provider and has driven growth along all Situs business lines, globally. The firm’s business in Europe is an area of expansion, as highlighted by the recent acquisition of Hatfield Phillips, through which Situs became the leading loan servicing and NPL loan management firm in Europe, and by the addition of its Valuation Management and Advisory capabilities in the UK and on the Continent.
“Our strategy, commitment and focus in Europe remain unchanged, providing best-in-class service to clients across the region,” says Situs CEO Steve Powel. “We are excited about the prospects of further business development in Europe, and the synergies for European clients with our capabilities in the US, and vice versa.”
Situs is the preeminent advisor to clients to evaluate, optimize, and manage commercial and residential real estate and related assets. Since 1985, Situs has set the standard for service, quality and execution. Situs has offices across the US and Europe and has been involved in more than $1 trillion of real estate debt and equity deals. A rated servicer with Moody’s, Fitch and Morningstar, Situs has more than $165 billion of assets under management and is ranked a top 20 servicer in multiple categories by the Mortgage Bankers Association. In 2016, Situs received a second consecutive “Advisor of the Year” award by Real Estate Finance & Investment magazine, and the “Capital Advisor Firm of the Year” award by Property Investor Europe. In 2017, the firm won the “Industry Contributor of the Year” award from Real Estate Finance & Investment magazine.
