Situs, the premier global provider of strategic business solutions for the finance and commercial real estate (CRE) industries, is pleased to announce that in recognition of its benefits offerings, it has been presented with a 2018 Best in Benefits Award from Ardent Solutions after participating in their survey.
Now in its 16th year, the Annual Employee Benefits Benchmarking Survey is the only comprehensive survey of its kind for Texas mid-size employers (50-5,000 employees) that also includes benchmarking statistics relative to the national market. Ardent Solutions offers customized employee benefits, HR technology solutions and partners with one of the nation’s most highly respected actuarial consulting firms, Milliman.
This award recognizes employers who offer the best benefit plans relative to their peers. Situs placed in the top 10% of 120 mid-size Houston-area employers. The survey includes companies from many industries such as finance, oil & gas, real estate, health care, manufacturing and others. Using medical plan designs, premiums and contributions from employers in the Benefits Benchmarking Survey, the judging committee calculates the benefit value and cost for each plan with Milliman’s Health Cost Guidelines. They then rank the plans by the lowest cost-highest benefit metric to determine who is Best in Benefits.
“Receiving this award was a welcome surprise, as I’ve always had a passion for employee benefits and I work diligently to take care of our employees as well as meet company objectives. I look forward to the coming years and how to continually improve our benefits to attract and retain top talent,” said Mary Habib, Situs VP, Benefits Manager, who was on hand to accept the award.
The winners were announced at a lunch and presentation ceremony that took place in Houston on Aug. 2, 2018. Winners included Texas Petroleum Investment Company, Port Houston, Houston Airport System — City of Houston Dept. 2800 Aviation, and Houston Association of Realtors.
“Our employees are our greatest asset. We strive to present employees with an expansive suite of benefits that provide care and peace of mind for them and their families, so to be recognized for our overall contributions is very gratifying,” said Steve Powel, CEO of Situs. “We look forward to continuing to setting the standard of employee care in the financial services industry.”
